We then use a jeweler's roller to make the metal thinner, and a jeweler's hammer to smooth the metal. In addition, we anneal the gold to soften it, before using a bending tool to create the shape of the ruby ring. Once the body has been polished and smoothed, it is set with the finest rubies.
